core voltage, HOW ?????

ELUSIVE

Hello all, I have a question my friend has has this MB, myurl with a PII 450, she wants to upgrade to a 800E 100fsb, Ive found out that thru the jumpers I can get the MB up tp 8*100 to support it. BUT the only problem I see right now is the core voltage. In her BIOS there is no option to change the voltage, nor on the MB. IS she flat out of luck? or is there something I'm missing? Or is there a program that will alow me to change the core voltage? I would need to drop it.
Thanks

Since the Mobo is a sec2, and the 800E come in FCPGA (flip chip), you will need a Slotket to plug it to the Mobo.

You can buy a Slotket card (MS6905 for example) that has Voltage Adjustment on it, so the Mobo core voltage is not relevant.

You can the can see a Slotket Here
