core voltage, help

Hello all, I have a question my friend has has this MB myurl, with a PII 450, she wants to upgrade to a 800E 100fsb, Ive found out that thru the jumpers I can get the MB up tp 8*100 to support it. BUT the only problem I see right now is the core voltage. In her BIOS there is no option to change the voltage, nor on the MB. IS she flat out of luck? or is there something I'm missing? Or is there a program that will alow me to change the core voltage? I would need to drop it.

Thanks, for the response this is the only jumper setting she has MYURL. Note that J29 is for 60 or 100 MHZ. That is the only one I can find as for jumper find. I can send you a pic from the manual if you like.

I believe the PII 450 was manufactured using the Katmai(sp) core. I don't believe it can go that fast. Only a PIII (coppermine core) can go that fast.

If I missunderstood you and you really meant to say, "she wants to buy a PIII and use the same motherboard", then it is your job to find out if this board is coppermine ready. If it is then as soon as you insert it and power it up you will find the the voltages in the BIOS, magically set to the correct level.

I wish all my problems were that simple.
