What is the difference between core temp and cpu temp? I have put together a system for a friend with the AMD FX 8350 and it is cooled with a corsair H100i. Core temps are being reported 15-20C Lower than Cpu Temps. For example, at idle, Core temps are around 15C while CPU temps are 33C. On all cores 100% load, cpu temps are 63C while core temps are like 49C. The room temp is around 25C so is this even possible, or are the sensors just messed up? I used Core Temp, Hardware Monitor and CorsairLink2 to monitor temps. All give consistent results.
Second Question, which temperature is more accurate indicator in terms of determining overheating head room?
Thanks for the help.
