If you are restricted to middle of row and you have cores that are front to back cooling, do you mount them front or rear? I'm stuck in a dilemma with 6509-V-E switches where originally I was going to place them switchport side facing rear/warm aisle because all the patch panels and server ports are on that side (plus easier for hoc to look at the panel ports when cabling). However this also means the intake for the cores would be facing the warm aisle as well.

Layout of the rows/cold aisles are like so:

Cold | Row1 | Warm | Row2 | Cold

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Front. In the proper cold to warm direction. Otherwise the core will likely over heat and disrupt the cooling system air flow. A front to rear cabling guide is easy to install.
