Core-M vs Bay Trail experiences?

Wondering if anyone cares to comment experience wise.

In terms of general use. Also in terms of photoshop/graphics work. Also lighting gaming in terms of indie type games like Prison Architect

Thinking about buying a T100 Chi (z3775 2GB) or Zenbook UX305 (m3-6y30 8GB). Cost difference is about $200 vs $460. But the Chi's form factor is more appealing to me as well. Also I already have a desktop so this will be a complementary device. I do not own a tablet currently but do have a i7 Sandybridge laptop (too big and heavy, horrible display though).

The new M's are situational, they have a very low base clock (900MHz) and can reach like 2.2GHz under load (not sure if it's constant or just temporary burst). The Z37**'s are very limiting and would struggle with photoshop, I have a couple devices with the Z3740 and Z3735F and they're OK for media streaming and occasional browsing while on the couch with the tablet, the Z3735F uses only single-channel memory so it can get slowed down (such as when it loads flash on a website) while the Z3740 uses dual-channel which performs better. At least the Z3775 uses dual-channel but you'd probably want a 4GB model.

The Zenbook probably has a better value per dollar.

Hmm, still torn on this. The Chi's form factor is more useful to me and it is cheap but I'm worried about the capability. The problem I have with the Zenbook is it's more expensive but really just another laptop.

Other option is to keep waiting and see what goes on sale.
