Core i7 results wanted for seti and/or other DC projects

Based upon all that I have read, we DC fanatics should be able to benefit from the increased memory bandwidth and HT features of core i7. Does anybody have some before/after numbers, hopefully condensed into an easy-on-the-brain %?

I built.
My setup:
i920 (stock.. speed and heatsink)
Vista Ultimate 64bit
Asus P6T Deluxe
Patriot 6gig tri channel DDR3 1600 (currently running 1333)
WD 300gig Velociraptor
HIS radeon 4850
PCPower&Cooling 750watt
CoolerMaster HAF932 case

right now everything is on air. under full load with seti, my temps are 67C at stock speeds with stock heatsink. I'm waiting for a decent water block to come out and then put on a watercooling system with a 3X120mm radiater set up. The HAF932 is pre-drilled for a tri-fan radiator setup. I'm waiting for swiftech to release the GTZ block or adaptor plate. I thought about going with the DangerDen MC-TDX, but I've had one of thier block fail on me before and I'd rather not deal with the clean up again... especially as my primary main computer.

The P6T supports SAS drives also, so I'm eventually going to go to those in a raid 0 setup and pull the velociraptor for a different build (it's a crime not to use the velociraptor, so I'll most likely put it in my secondary main computer and save up for a second drive for raid 0)

I'll probably got with an sli or crossfire setup eventually, but right now i'm more concerned about heat. I'm currently running on a 24" Dell 2407wfp... i almost have enough saved up for a 30" (DoubleSight DS-305W)

so far the numbers are looking good for seti... the average score on this setup is ramping up more quickly than any of my other setups when initially starting seti. I would forgo the 30" so I could build another setup... but I really need the realestate for board/ckt layout for ... it would save me a tremendous amount of time when doing work from home.

I'm curious how well the hyperthreading does, for speeding up SeventeenorBust. (IOW, whether HT is a win or a loss, when running either 4 instances or 8 instances.)

dajeepster, do you have HT enabled? IIRC 6-8 out of 10 situations benefit from HT. even x264 benefits and i know SOME DC (boinc) projects benefit. not sure which all do, tho

Hyperthreading is enabled... it's currently running 8 threads.
