I found a 2001 kawasaki ninja 600 that is original one owner for a little over 3 grand. It is ultra clean with not even a scratch on it. Im supposed to buy it tomorrow. I'm having buyers remorse and haven't made the purchase yet. My wife says I can do whatever I want to my current computer just as long as I don't get another bike. She for some reason hates bikes. My current build is:
q9400 oc'ed 3.75
4gb ram 1:1
ga ep45 ud3p board
evga gtx 280
antec true power quattro 850w ps
domino alc cpu cooler
cooler master atcs 840 case
I was thinking of getting a core i7 920, with a gigabyte 1366 mobo, 6 gb 1333 or 1600 ram, and another evga gtx 280 to have for sli. All of this would still be way cheaper than a $3200 bike then paying taxes, registration, insurance, maintenance. I really like to ride but I like computers too.

depends on how much the bike worries your wife, or how much she will bitch about you riding it if you do it often. you already have a nice-ish pc, do something else maybe?

I would get the bike. Your PC is fine, if you don't have a bike right now, get one and ride it.

just tell your wife that deep down every man wants to own a harley ... but since they're expensive, you'll settle for the kawasaki. she'll see you as fiscally responsible and let you do what you want.

Do you have life insurance? Being married and/or having a family that depends on you is a little different than when you're a teen on a bike.

Well, the computer you can only have fun with in the house.

You can have fun with the bike in lots of places.

I almost NEVER advocate buying a crotch rocket, though.

Solution:
Buy the bike.
If your wife complains, sell it and buy a PC.
She'll be happy you blew $3k on a PC.

If you just buy the PC, you wasted money on a PC you didn't need. But if you sold the bike and got a PC instead, she "won".

I don't have a bike right now. I say another bike because I have owned many in the past.

I do have life insurance. I only have a wife no kids. If I die she'll have enough to pay off the house and bury me and some left. I wouldn't want to leave her with nothing.

I've had cruisers and crotch rockets. I always have more fun on crotch rockets. I can get out of the way of crap much faster on a crotch rocket also.
