Core i7 GTX 260+ SLI Power supply recomendation

I'll soon aquire a new rig and I'm looking for advice on the necessary power supply.
I'm considering the Corasir 1000W Modular but it seams that it is probably too much power.
I do want to have enough power to expand if I wish, but I will never go 3-SLI.

Here are the full rig details

Core i7 920
Asus P6T Deluxe
OCZ Gold Edition 12800 3x6G
TRUE 120 with 2 attached fans
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Coolermaster HAF 932
2x GTX 260-216 SLI
Auzentech X-Fi HomeTheater 7.1 or similar
LG GGW-H20L Blu-ray Player/Burner
Benq G2400WD 24''
Logitech G15 Keyboard
Logitech G9 Mouse
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-4000 DVB-T + 2xDVB-S

If you have any recomendations hardware wise I'll be glad to take advice. I'm still a bit undecided on what is the best 1TB hard drive. Also memory wise I have the option to go for a OCZ Platinium edition 15000 3x2G for the same price as the OCZ Gold. What is better for overclocking the core i7 920?

Anyway related to the topic. What do you guys recomend as power supply for such rig.

If you want some extra headroom 800-850W+

If a 1000W unit intrests you, there is certainly no harm at all in running that system on it.

Just remember, as always, quality matters even more than wattage. A coolmax 850W would run that system worse than a corsair 520W.

So what psu will you be getting? My new set-up will be extremely close in spec with yours and I havent been able to decide which psu to get. I was hoping I could get away with using the
Antec True Power New 750 but it dont think it will happen =(

his system would run on the Truepower New 750W.

Yes it would run on stock settings but if I was to oc the cpu and add a dual loop w/c set-up it will easily pass 750w

I doubt that. Not unless you're grabbing a third video card and overvolting the crap out of everything.

A good quality PSU will always make a bigger difference than a higher wattage PSU. Get something from a trusted name (Corsair, SeaSonic, PC Power & Cooling, Antec, etc.) brand and 750w should be more than plenty.

I'd suggest the PCP&C 750 Quad Silencer that was in the Hot Deals forums as recently as last week. It was $69 after rebate (I snagged one) which is a can't beat price if you want to go SLI.
