Old Pc is showing its age and its time to upgrade!

Previous PC: P4 3.6gz 1gb ram

Im planing to upgrade and will be buying these parts in the next couple days.

1. My PC will be used mostly for programing and coding, some first person shooters Cod,
and Wow. I multitask a lot and always have a ton of things open. The system is not
primarliy for gaming but i do spend some time doing it and would like a PC that can
handle it with ease. It also must be quiet.

2. Budget around $2000 will to go higher if it will mean a big improvement

3. Everything will be bought from newegg except maybe the case(dont like how they look).

4. I will be using my 24 inch NEC 2490wuxi as a monitor so 1920x1200. Vista will be
installed

5. Ive looked at as many threads as i can many similarities.

6. Ive played with overclocking before and might consider it down the line but not now.

7. Planing to build the system as soon as possible.

I'm basically set on a i7 processor. A EVGA Nvidia 280/285/295 GPU.
Also i am getting a Solid State drive. Have a spare 1TB drive.

Current build:

Intel Core i7 + Intel x25 SSD 80gb combo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820167005 $604
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813131352 $399
EVGA GTX 285
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130442 $399
Creative Sound Blast XiFi Titanium
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16829102019 $140
PC power and cooling silencer 750
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817703019 $145
G.Skill 6gb DDR3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820231225 $144
Samsung 22x DVD burner
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16827151173 $27

Total: $18567

The SSD is pretty much a must for me but im not sure which one is best. Everything else
seems ok for me. Not set on a case yet but thats more cosmetic to me.
Any recommendations for the case/ssd? Anything I can change/upgrade that would make
a significant difference? Any glaring problems?

Any help would be great.

1. The Intel SSD is a waste of $$$ for this build.
2. Asus Rampage II Extreme... Another waste of $$$ for this build.
3. It "must be quiet", and you pick a GTX 285?
Again, a waste of $$$ for this build and louder than alternatives.

What are some quiet alternatives that dont downgrade the performance of the card?
You've got one of the latest cards listed. There are no alternatives that don't downgrade performance.
The issue is that you don't need the latest & greatest card to run COD and WOW.

Look at the ATI 4850 & GF 9800 GTX as alternatives.

Alright so what would be some quiet alternatives that could still do the job?
260/280?

My GTX 260 is almost silent. Even when I turn my 200mm fan off, I cannot hear my GPU.
