May still be a luck of the draw. I bought one from Newegg last month and got a DO but looking at the so called reviews, it would appear that some are still getting CO's.

Unfortunately no. Cloest one i think is 4 hours away (chicago). I currently have an e8400 OC @ 3.6ghz and contemplating if i want to buy a core i7. I'm not a gamer but i'm a pretty heavy multitasker with VMWare, Programming Tools, and such. I think i want an i7 though rather than an i5 because of the limitation of 4 banks of memory on the i5. I currently have 8GB and i defintely want at least this much or more.

Ya that sure is tempting. I'd only have to upgrade the processor then and i could use everything else. If i go the core i7 route i'm probably going to be spending 600-700 for CPU+MB+DD3RAM. So you would probaby recommend going the Q9550 route and holding off until everything drops in price?

If you have a good OCing mobo, then i'd say yes. I have a nice little setup with a UD3R & Q9550

EDIT: it sucks that you don't have a micro C by you, the Q9550 is also going for cheap there too. I got a nice overclocker = 4Ghz within Intel's voltage specs for 45nm
