Core i7 920 overclocking

I was reading somewhere about the new Intel Core i7s and saw that the Core i7 920 will not be overclockable. Is this true? Has Intel ever completely blocked someone from overclocking a processor?
 
The 920's are definitely overclockable. Definitely. Whether or not the LGA1160 chips will be, we still don't know, but all of the LGA1366 will be able to overclock. Oh, and welcome to anandtech.
 
oh nice, i was confused since I want to get the 920 for my next setup, but I may consider the 940 if I can a good deal and maybe even a motherboard bundle
