A few questions for the experts.
If I go for the W3520 do any standard desktop Mb's wire the ECC pins to the RAM sockets? In other words could I use ECC DDR3 RAM if I wanted to? I can't think of any reason they would not make the extra 30 connections other than spite.
second Q
Who makes the most mature BIOS for overclocking and W3520 support?
I am leaning toward the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P. Any thoughts? Do I need an intervention?
Last Q
Is the multiplier in the W3520 the same as the I7-920?
The reason I ask is passmark scores it well below the 920 which makes no sense to me.
