after reading this - http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/arti...e-Power-Plus-600-W-Power-Supply-Review/1034/9

I think I have purchased fake product form cooler master as stated in above article it says the product is not capable of giving more than 450w power supply.

can I still have the enogh wattage to overclock i7 870 with this product?

Where did you purchase it from? Any chance or returning it?

Having said that I think will still be OK.
I have the following system;
Asus P5E socket775 MB
Intel Q9450 OC @ 3.2GHz (1.32v)
Asus White Knight cooler
G.Skill 8GB DDR2-800 (4x2GB)
ATI HD4870 1GB GPU
4 HD's (150GB WD Raptor, 2x1TB WD Green, 320GB WD)
2 DVD drives
Logitech wireless KB/mouse reciever
Cosair 520HX PSU

Checking power usage with a Kill-A-Watt, I have ~310 watts at idle and ~380 watts at full CPU load with P95.

Assuming ~80% efficiency, the computer is only using ~300 watts of actual power. I have quite a bit more equipment in my rig compared than the list given. Since you already have it, it's worth giving it a try.

lots of low end psu companies are, shall we say, very liberal with their performance claims. check out www.jonnyguru.com and also our psu forums for suggestions of good psus for future use.
