Hi everybody. I am new user of anandtech forum

First of all, I am actually from Turkey, therefore I am sorry for my bad english.

My CPU

i7 3770k
Made in Costa Rica
Batch no 3230B373

My system:

i7 3770k
Asrock Z77 OC Formula
OCZ Vertex 4 256 GB SSD
Gskill Trident X 2133MHZ @ 2200MHZ 16 GB Ram (9-10-11-30)
Powercolor HD 6950 2x CF
Noctua NH-D14
_____________

I bought new i7 3770k for my sandybridge system. (i7 2600k) These are result of overclock:

PLL, VTT and others are default. I only changed to Vcore (1.225v) and of course CPU ratio (47x)

This is 4.5Ghz result @ 1.120v

I want to use 4.7 GHZ/1.225v for 24/7.

Can ı use 4.7 Ghz @1.225v for 7/24?

Thanks.

For the price, it's a good value with good performance. Just be aware that it can get hot under heavy load.

If it's stable, that's a fairly safe voltage. I recommend you run Intel Burn Test on it for a few hours though to ensure stability.

Intel Burn Test is not working on my PC. Weird...

OCCT or Prime95. Which one is better?

When standard software fails to run on your rig you do NOT just brush it off and say to yourself "uh, oh well, guess I try a different one".

The fact it doesn't run is telling you something isn't right. Your first concern should be "how do I fix whatever is broken here?"

Doesn't work? Do you mean your comp locks up or something? That should tell you something right there.

That almost certainly means you do not have a stable overclock. Try backing your overclock down a couple notches and see if it will run properly.

All of them are decent. Personal preference in my opinion. But I agree with IDC and Greenchile about your O/C. IT isn't stable and you should back down the o/c before bumping up the voltage.

Hit your OC with 10 rounds of IBT.
That will usually weed out a weak overclock in fairly short order.
Follow up with either a Prime95 or longer IBT run.

Note : 10 x 10 runs of IBT != 1x 100!

As others have said, hit the chip with an intense dose (I personally go for 20 rounds) of IBT (max out the RAM, don't freak out if the UI gets laggy), then go for 8 hours of P95 Blend. Also, monitor the temperatures while stress testing. I personally recommend trying to avoid hitting temperatures higher than 75C. Of course, going higher doesn't mean your chip will melt; my recommendation for temperature limit has more to do with lifespan than anything else.

If it passes that, run it normally for a while. If it blue screens, up the voltage or lower the clocks.

Side note: For an increase of 200 MHz over 4.5 GHz, that extra 0.1V doesn't look too appealing Imo...
