Hey guys I recently purchased an i5-3350p and windows only recognizes 2 cores and 2 threads when it's a 4 core and 4 thread CPU! In Cinebench and CPU-Z, and in msconfig it only shows 2 cores and 2 threads. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help. Here's my PC if this helps.

PC:
CPU:Intel Core i5-3350p @ 3.1ghz
GPU:EVGA Superclocked GTX 660 2gb GDDR5
Memory:2x4gb Kingston HyperX ram @ 1600mhz
Motherboard:ASRock B75M-DGS

Welcome to the forum :)

Take a look in uEFI ( bios) for cpu configuration ? Or something similar and make sure all cores are enabled. My guess is it's set to 2 currently.

The setting is active cores I believe. Should be set to all.

Why would you post duplicate threads in the same forum a few minutes apart?

There are a few potential reasons for this. Taking a shot in the dark, the most likely reason (and easiest to fix) is that Windows is setup to only use 2 cores. You can check that by doing the following:

msconfig -> Boot -> Advanced Options -> Number of Processors

If that function is enabled and set to 2, then that would be your problem.
