Core i3 6100U and 1866MT/s DDR3 RAM?

Does anybody know if the i3 6100U supports 1866MT/s DDR3 SODIMMs? Intel ark says the i3 6100U supports 1866MT/s DDR3 RAM in the LPDDR3 form factor (embedded) and 1600MT/s in the DDR3L (SODIMM) form factor.

Skylake CPUs do support both DDR3 and DDR4 memory (hybrid memory controller), but DDR3 should be module with operating voltage 1.35 V or less, hence the DDR3L name in specifications, meaning low power RAM. Although I would recommend to just go with DDR4 board and RAM if you got yourself a new i3 just get the DDR4 as well.
