Afraid not.

There are no motherboards yet available which will accept one. I think Aopen will probably have one for sale soon (they seemed to like making mobos for Pentium M).

Anyway I believe Core Solo/Duo socket should be properly called socket 480 - even though there may only be 478 actual pins.

Core duo is rather a lot different in design to the banias/dothan pentium-m.

But the main reason is that its dual-core (which will likely require new chipset) and its 65nm (which means that it will have different power requirements) and has a faster FSB.
