Core Duo Speeds

I recently got a Dell D820 with a T2600, the question is can you not nail up the speed on these processors? I tried using NHC and set to Max Performance and I swear I cannot get this thing to switch past 1ghz in speed. If I take NHC off and just look at CPU-Z it just constantly bounces around despite any power managment changes.

Did you make sure you set Maximum Performance for your current power source (i.e. if you were on battery or AC)? That should do the trick...

Yeah I did, watching it with CPU-Z with no NHC, it bounces around but mostly stays at 1GHZ, with NHC on it seems to stay at 1GHZ no matter how I change the options. Bottom line with NHC set to Max Performance this thing just seemed to stay there at 1GHZ. I know NHC worked perfect with my NW8000 with a P-M 2GHZ and you could nail the max performance and off you went. This thing seems to be on crack.

I've also been having problems with NHC. It's as if it does'nt support the Core Duo yet. I can't get above 1GHz with NHC on. I decided to switch to RMClock, especially as my laptop doesn't seem to do SMART monitoring. With RMClock, I've had no issues with undervolting or setting clocks.

I'm glad I am not the only one having this issue, I have tried searching google etc but can't seem to find any documentation on this issue.

Anyone know if speedswitch supports core duos yet? I have never used RMClock so I guess I will check that out as well.
