I got a 5900xt, but 3D Mark05 and RivaTuner are reporting that the core clock speed is 300mhz, I was under the impression that it was 390-400mhz.

I wouldn't think the card is being throttled as my system is running around 85-95 degree Farenheit.

Does the 5900XT have a 2D/3D clock speed? If so, 300MHz may be the 2D speed, and 400MHz the 3D speed.

3D Mark05 reports it as "VGA Core Clock 300.9 MHz ", The VGA Memory Clock is at 702.0 MHZ

SE = 390, XT = 390/400. And you're prolly seing the 2D mode, my old 5700u clocks itself down when you view ANYTHING in 2D mode, and it automaticly cranks up when you play a 3D game.

SneakyStuff was right. 3D Mark was just reporting the 2D on the "System Details". Once I ran through the 3D Mark benchmark, the project details show the 3D core speed. Thanks Sneaky
