Core 2 T5250

I was planning to buy a Dell laptop with this processor because it's cheap, but then I found out it's just a measly 1.5 GHZ and now I don't know if it is worth having a processor this slow in a computer and the upgrade is $100 which makes the price not that good.

How does this compare to a 1.6 GHZ Yonah (I own one of these)? Any help appreciated.

Well, the slower processors will run cooler and will give you a better battery life.

Why do you want the faster CPU? In games you will surely be GPU limited.

There may be a way to overclock laptops though...

I use it mostly for normal tasks but I seldom do some video encoding, guess I'll get the laptop.
