core 2 duo running with ddr1 vs ddr2

What are the cons of runnign a core 2 duo 6300 with DDR vs ddr 2 (aside from less bandwidth) If it was ran with ddr would it still lay the smack down to amds line ?

Look up, there are CPU and Moob tabs, one checks this with the Asrock.

yea i just read that...hmm thats kinda of surprising actually. that it performed near as good for general stuff.

ah yes the moob tabs, incredibly usefull... I know what you mean.
I think that ddr2-420 actually performed less than ddr400 in general, and ddr2-533 was more or less the same, ddr2-667 widened the gap and ddr2-800 broke it open a little bit. I can imagine that ddr500 would perform almost as well has ddr2-667 (and then ddr600 would get upclose to ddr2-800... gskill extreme w/samsung tccd chips)
