Sure they been cranking them out as fast as they can but it also takes them time to get the factories at 100% too. Not to mention Intel ships world wide, their favored vendors get first dibs that'll go into ordered systems, and then add in demand from the OEM user...think they'll have enough on launch day? If I had to bet they'll come up with too little than more than enough. I'm guessing the first two weeks they'll be hard to get for the OEM market. Just a hunch on my part though. Hopefully I'm wrong.

A very informative page was the one that showed differences in L2 cache, FSB, and bandwidth, and the effect of those items on Core 2. The difference in L2 cache seems a bit less than I previously thought, and FSB doesn't seem to have much of an impact at all. More good news for me and my aspiring E4200 OC'ing plans.

Their tests in the FSB oveclocking section resulted in numbers that stayed within the same memory strap which caused almost equal scores. Believe me, when set properly, FSB increases will make a huge difference. ;)

That was the entire idea. I wanted to see the effects of FSB and memory seperately.

If you take their 1600FSB DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 score, and compare it to their 1066FSB DDR2-533 3-3-3-8 score, you can extrapolate what the combined effect is.

Winrar gained 9%, and their Farcry scores gained 5%. Not even close to a huge difference, IMO. It will be the mhz that gives the most tangible boost.

"CORE" and "CORE 2" are different. Conroe is "CORE 2". And "CORE" was an Intel mobile CPUs released 6 months(?) ago.

[mo]ron, a processor on its own is usually sold as retail package to end users, OEM CPUs go to (surprise) OEMs

Also can't believe how cheap the 805 is going to be, that will be like £50 over here, not that i would buy one.

They're just trying to dump Smithfields. With the 915 being as cheap as it is, I see no reason to get an 805 anyway.

too bad there is no such thing as a 915 so bottom line is we have two morons talking about a non existent product that was mentioned because the first moron copied wrong information from a bad source and the second moron decided to comment as if he knows what is being told.......

I mean CORE2.

I could go and buy Asustek P5B Deluxe (chipset 965) right now too.
