If one is NOT overclocking, is it better to run DDR2 533 or DDR2 800?

It would seem to me that DDR2 800 is out of synch, but what do I know?

Remember, I do NOT intend to overclock, will NOT overclock and did I say that I won't be overclocking?

DDR2 800 wouldn't be out of synch, just running at a slower speed than it's capable of.

Yes, that makes sense.

There's really no appreciable price difference to speak of (they're all high right now). There seems to be more variety in the 800, so 800 it is.

I've got a Core 2 system in the cart right now and wanted to make sure I didn't have my head up my rear. It's time to replace my P4 2.4 system. It's funny how I've been itching for an AMD system all these years and it's all come back around and I'm getting another Intel system.

Thanks!

Make sure the DIMMs you buy aren't rated for some crazy high voltage.
The DDR2 standard is 1.8v.

Yes, thanks. These are listed as 1.8V. I'm not going to link to them because someone will jump in and talk some smack about them. People forget that not everyone is looking for those last two FPS out of a system.
