Core 2 Duo E6400 Aftermarket Cooling Necessary?

I have just ordered my parts and am wondering if the E6400 will need a good aftermarket HS and Fan. This is the case I ordered:

ENERMAX ECA3052BS Silver SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

I also ordered 2 of the Scythe 120mm 1600RPM fans:

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F (1,600rpm) 120mm S-FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing by SONY Corporation) Case Cooling Fan - Retail

Would it be recomended to get something like the Scythe Ninja? I have read about the Heatsink being fairly tall, almost too tall to the point where it doesn't fit in some cases. Any insigt would be helpfull. I'm looking at getting a little bit extra out of this chip. Thanks.

Aftermarket is for you if you:

1) Overclock
2) Want it ultra quiet.
3) Want to look cool.

i would always suggest after marketed...intel hs arent very good at all...i hate the niose of them and they dont do crap

i'd definitely get aftermarket. Even my Zalman 7700-AlCu is bottlenecking my overclocking. I got my e6400 stable at 3.24GHz, but the heat was just too much (68C under load). had to drop down to 3.08GHz @ 1.375V in order to keep my temps under 60C.

I've heard the zalman 9500 and scythe ninja are both great for overclocking C2Ds.

After reading a ton of reviews and going back and forth, I finally decided on the TT Big Typhoon... It seems like it will be quiter than the Scythe and the Tower 120... Also, I don't want to get the Ninja or the Tower and then have them not fit. I also looked at the Ultra 120, but they are freakin huge... Not that the Big Typhoon isn't big, but it isn't as huge as the other ones and after reading various reviews, the Big Typhoon seems like it will do more than enough for my cooling needs. Can't wait to get my parts in.
