Core 2 Duo Available At Monarch!

Hi everyone, just ordered the E6400, with shipping it comes up to $249 (no tax for CA).

What do you think about this price, should I save a bit to get the E6300 instead? However, the E6300 with shipping comes up to $222, just $27 difference. I wonder if the E6400 will give much performance advantage?

No I just need hot deals on MB and 2GB ram... any suggestion? Thanks!
 
PRE ORDER. Meaning no stock...same as everyone else but knowing Monarch, when retailers finally get them, later than everyone else too...

It's important to know if you're overclcoking or not to answer board/ram question... and yes the 6400 is the sweet spot overclocked or not it since it carries a price premium equal to it's performance premium over the 6300.
 
I would never pre-order from Monarch..there shipping sucks..others etailers do a much better job of shipping ...and Monarch generally charges and then ships when they want..at least it feels that way

there CS sucks...

I agree - Took them 2 weeks to post some OCZ RAM. By the time I received it the $40 REBATE EXPIRED!!

They did ZIP to reimburse!!

They reimbursed you for the expired rebate?
The Monarch representative had the guts to tell me to still send in my expired rebate form and if I had trouble I would have to call back. I didn't know why I have to take such huge risks just to please Monarch for their errors... I guess I will still order from Monarch even though they gave me so much trouble in the past couple/few months when compared to other online venders.
 
so does that I mean I should cancel my order? Given the time they ship, Conroe's supply may be back to normal and the price will go back down a bit? What do you guys think?
 
Of course if you wait, prices will come down.

The gougers are out in full force now. Give it at least 2 weeks and you'll see things settle down.
 
That depends. It seems Intel has a plentiful supply of Conroe's so I don't think the gouging will continue (nearly) as long as it did with X2 on release. AMD had trouble filling the channel then.

OK this is going to show how much I'm an Intel fan boy... I am an Intel employee and they just posted the Core 2's on our internal shop @ Intel store. We can only order one of any product and we cannot resale, so please no request.

BTW.. Intel employees can purchase for friends and family, so if you have family at Intel!!

I'm so ready to get my hands on one of these I had to share!!
