cordless tools battery dead?

Have a Hitachi 18v lion driver set, didn't use it for a while (no projects.)

Batteries read 0v and 3v. 24 hours on the charger, the 3v one is 6v and the 0v one is still dead. Fortunately, the 6v battery gets me a spin out of the driver so I guess that's not broken.

So do I need two replacements, or is the 6v likely to come back if it's on the charger long enough?

Any storage advice for not having this happen again?

If it's a lithium battery, there is a way to bring it back from a total discharge. If I could remember the process I'd hook you right up. I'm certain I saw it on youtube though, so a bit of searching should find you an answer.

you'll probably need a power supply so "jump" it back to life. The charger probably isn't going to do it.
