Cordless tool battery "resurrection"

This guy will tell you how to do it for $13, but I figure one of you guys probably knows the secret.

Anyone?

Open the battery and replace the cells.

You'll probably find the equivalent of a bunch of AA NiMh batteries in there with soldered tabs connecting them.

If you have bad cells, giving them a high voltage for a short period of time will break up the crystals and they will start working again, but only for a short time.
