I picked up a generic cordless mouse with a USB key-type receiver. After the screensaver kicks in, the mouse won't bring Windows back to the desktop. I have to hit a key on the keyboard and re-establish the wireless link to the mouse.

Any suggestions? I'm not averse to returning this for another model without this problem, if anyone knows of one.

Have you checked the screen saver settings? Some screen savers have a checkbox that tells it to ignore mouse movements.

Thanks guys, I will see about another driver. Right now it is the Microsoft generic HID-compliant driver.

This is the default XP screensaver off a fresh install, no settings to adjust.

Looks like there is no driver on Linkworld's site. The mouse needs to be 'reconnected' sometimes after just sitting a while.

I think I'll return it for a better one. Those that have a base to charge it, is the RF receiver in the base too?
