I sure would like to find a cordless mouse (and cordless keyboard). Tired of hunching over at the desk. I wanna make myself a desktop to go across the arms of my chair, and lean back and put my feet up and still work. All I see at Staples is a Microsoft and a Logitech. Are there others out there? Neither of those felt good under my hand.

i really like the logitech cordless keyboard and mouse
(i'm using the pro because the dumb store sent it to me instead, i like the standard itouch one more.. do you not like either???)

I also own a microsoft cordless mouse, and it's garbage
i keep having problems with the connection, and even when the connection is good, the mouse has very low resolution
the logitech cordless mouse is very smooth

Go Logitech they are the BEST I have used in cordless desktop ware... For my PC I am using a Logitech Cordless iTouch keyboard and the mouse is a Mouseman Wheel. They came in a package and for my laptop which I am using now I just got the Mouseman Wheel. I have never looked back since I got this Logitech gear! They are the best! And they use radio wave technology rather than the infra red technology which sucks big time! My friends who came over were shocked to see a keyboard and mouse with no cords and they were not Infra red too! I started to use the mouse on the wall and they were spooked! But this is the U.K not alot of people here like computers like I do, and also they are behind with technology so thats why they were spooked. The nearest they have ever got to cordless was seeing Infra red stuff. And Felacha go for the Logitech! They do feel good under your hand! Its just that you need to get used to it thats all...

Hope you make a wise choce and go for Logitech but its still up to you whichever one you want to buy.

aznmist, you REALLY annoy me. First of all, have you ever used one? I have the logitech cordless desktop and its excellent. "cordless is bad" O really? WHY???????????? I have used cordless now for almost 2 years. It DOES NOT negatively effect my FPS playing at all, and I find it very handy without the cord. I will never go back to a cord.

Please dont give stupid comments like that, its annoying. Give reason for why you think something, or say out of the conversation.

I agree fully with Jonny! He is right I have used my Logitech Cordless gear for half a year now and the radio wave technology built into these things are THE best! You are just saying it to annoy us or you are just plain stupid to say such things! If you gave a solid rason for why you said it then we would not be angry with you but with no reason is just being stupid! Infra red is strong but only when you point your device at it. It is week when you turn it away or block its signal!

And I like the way you told him Jonny!

I have had problems playing FPS with the Cordless logitech Keyboard with the radio wave. Latency on the the keyboard was somewhat noticable in UT, but for Word and other applications it probably wouldn't be noticable. The keyboard did end up dying, so I may have had a defective one. Please don't flame me, it's just MY opinion.

LordSandMan, opinions are good when you give reason for your oppinion. :) I do recall back when Wizkid ^^ bought a cordless desktop, and I was at his place for a LAN party...we had some issues...hehe...2 in 1 room, close to each other..is bad :)

I have both the cordless keyboard and mouse from Logitech. The mouse died on me after 5 months and the cursor was going all over the place, tracking on the desktop is becoming impossible and even though the rollers and balls are clean. I got it RMA'd but after a couple months I couldn't take it anymore after I tried the MS optical mice, the tracking was just so much better.

However the wireless keyboard works perfectly, the multimedia buttons are very very useful and it's exactly as advertised, "keyboard without wires".

aznmist,

Infrared requires line of sight. RF (which is what Logitech uses) is not line of sight and has a pretty decent range, not that you can even see your monitor at the maximum range.

aznmist. the logitech cordless mice and keyboard I use works very well. I have the sensors in the back of the desk behind a lot of things and it works flawlessly without any problems. What jonny said. :disgust:

I have used the mouse and keyboard for some gaming and it has worked OK I have not really noticed alot of lag from the keyboard. But it could be something to do with the speed of your computer or power as well. It needs to process the comands so people with a faster computer will not have so much lag. And it also depends if you got a good one or not.

Well I live in the UK & use the cordless Logitec wheel mouse,Infact some of my friends also have one, also most have Computers, you will be surprised how many Members here are from the UK & have up-to-date technology.Yes the Logitech cordless uses radio frequency for transmissions.

Not sure if this was intended for me, but it happened on the machine in my sig, so I don't think it's a speed issue. I changed keyboards to a standard PS2 and it worked fine.

Hi Mem, well to back up why I said that the U.K is lagging behind slightly with techno stuff is that I get all my gadgets and stuff from Hong Kong, cause I am a Hong Kong guy, but born here, and the stuff I buy there on average come out in Dixons like about 3 months after they are out there already! For example I got my Sony Cybershot Digicam in HK for about 450 pounds right, well here the asking price at Dixons 2 months on was 600!!! So thats why I said that and sorry if it offended you. And I am only 16 and so are my friends and they are not to all into computers and that comment about not many people was about my school, sorry if I didn't make it clear. So you see what I mean now. Hope that cleared it up Mem.

Well it must be to do with the keyboard itself. It mite be sow or something. My one works fine for some reason. Unreal Tournament works OK with it my iTouch keyboard.

Logitech cordless desktops *rule*
The range is great and I haven't noticed lag at all.
Five apt-mates have one too. No interference problems at our place.

<hugs keyboard and mouse>

SKY2KLAU,I was not offended just that most UK Members here buy there parts from Overclockers.co.uk or other specialist UK websites,no one goes to Dixons if they want the latest & best hardware ,would you ask for a Taisol heatsink/fan in Dixons? ,btw I`ve had my Cordless mouse now well over 20 months.

I have both the Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse on a system here and the lag makes FPS games almost unplayable. Overall they work great, for general use - but not for gaming.
