Copying Xbox Games

Mash all the buttons on the controller, then you'll access the secret menu. Select "copy game to hard drive" and thats it!

Hi
Does anyone knows as to how to copy xbx games to its hard drive, do I need a mod chip for that ??

yes. Unless you get the actual samsung / phillips dvd drive that is used in the xbox. At least that's what i gathered from perusing XBS forums for a couple weeks.

 And you know what? I used to use that code right before I played Contra with my father. It was the only game for a long time I could get him to play, it was loads of fun.

yea you are goina need a mod chip. check out smartxx and xecuter chips. i have the smartxx and imo the added features on it were well worth the cost. you are also goina need a decent sized hard drive (i have a 200gig) being that games range from a couple hundred megs to 4+gigs, and a lot more research. you will need to solder the mod chip to the lpc, short the d0, find and then flash a bios to the modchip, get an ftp server running on the box to setup your dash board of choice, which you will also have to find on your own, and to backup the hard drive, then boot the xbox with both hard drives and format the new harddrive with fatx, after that you need to clone the contents of the first hard drive to the second, and finally enable extended partitions and figure out how to backup the games to your harddrive. to make a long story short its not as easy as it sounds. read up at xbox-scene and make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you get out your wallet or soldering iron.

COntra?

Up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, A, B, select, start...

😀

Nope.. up, up, down, down is the correct way for good ol' contra..and gradius, gradius 2 and a few others I think. Konami made a few derivatives of that code for other games, even the PS2 Contra I think.

edit: Ha.. the "Konami Code" is in the Urban Dictionary.

The Konami Code
