Copying DVD to hard disk

I am trying to follow the article in www.tomshardware.com with regards to copying DVD to mpeg-4 format onto a single CD. However, after a number of failed attempts at setting up FlaskMpeg I then downloaded the 0.6 preview version. But when I try to copy any of the .VOB files from the DVD to my hard disk I get an error window from Windows (2000 Pro) that reads "Cannot copy VTS_01_0: The maximum number of secrets that may be stored in a single system has been exceeded.". Can anyone help?
