Copy Protection

Has there ever been a software (not dongles/cards and such) copy protection scheme that no one managed to crack ?

You can always modify the executable, so no. There are only 2 theoretically "fool proof" ideas; internet authentication(UT2K3, Quake 3, WinXP), which is only effective when you can always be sure the machine is 'net connected, and needs the master server to run, and "trusted computing", such as Palladium, and other key based sandbox environments.

no one has crached daoc that i've heard. i suppose cracking expansions would be wothwhile but the original game you have to pay $11 a month anyway
