What settings do i need in clonecd to be able to defeat the copy protection of Diablo 2? Securom is the style as far as i know..

i tried these settings and did not check "Do not repair sub data" - Clonecd setting pic
and it still tells me to enter my playCD
mine is pretty jacked up so i am trying to copy a friends, i have a CD key and everything already, and mybnet acct is setup.

please help me and dont go off about buy the game because i did

well they make it clone resistant for a reason..
i personally don't mind copying stuff, but some people do..

why dont you copy everything on the disk to a folder on your hardrive and burn the folder's contents onto a disk?

According to one source the settings should be "read subchannel from data tracks," "fast error skip," and "intelligent bad sector scanner." I have another source that says just "read subchannel from data tracks." You can try both and see what works.

Try this
Read subchannel data from data tracks
Read subchannel data from audio tracks
and set the read speed to 8x

I backed up my legally owned D2 and Expansion, and they both play fine.

Read and write with Plex124TS (1.04) @ 8x.
I loaded and play with my Plex 40x (1.0) reader (all cds are my backups).
CloneCD...newest version.

I checked only:
Read subchannel data from data tracks
Read subchannel data from audio tracks

On write:
Do not repair.

I own no cds that I haven't been able to backup. Shogun, RA2, and D2 were probably the iffiest, going in.
