copy/paste

is there a way to copy from a .txt file into word and have it keep the formatting as it was in the .txt file?

I keep trying this and it messes up all the columns of text

courier new, fixedsys, etc

There might be something like a Paste Special option if you look under the Edit heading. I don't know for sure though.

i first tried paste special, but it didn't have formatted text as an option
