Does anyone know how i can copy something from google images, and have it actually show up as the image in word? When I paste it into the word document, it comes up as a link. Anyone know how to fix this? Im new to macs....bleh

I don't have a mac running, but try this:

Open Safari, and open word. Click and drag your image from safari directly into your word doc, and see if that works. I'm guessing that might do the trick, but I'm not positive. Otherwise you can probably just drag the image to your desktop and then insert that via word into the document the normal way. 🙂

Right-clicking (or CTRL-clicking) doesn't work?

You could also make a screenshot. The shortcut is Apple-Shift-4.

This produces a .pdf file in any OS X prior to 10.4 and a .tiff or a .png (I don't remember) in 10.4. Screenshot files can be converted in the program "Preview".
