copy & paste not working win xp

I've done a scan w/ Norton for viruses, etc, clean.

Still not working =[

Not sure where to look, google didn't help

Umm, when you say not working, what exactly do you mean?

Do you get an error message? Does your computer crash? What program are you using? Are you using Ctrl c/v or right clicking?

by not working, the function seems disabled.

I am unable ot highlight and copy the function is greyed.

Using firefox, ms word, aim, etc i've tried. using ctrl+ c or highlighting text and using the edit --> copy functoins.

sounds like a variation of the blaster if I remember correctly. it's been a while since I had to do anything with that virus.

hmm, I tried Norton and it has not detected anything. is there another way to go about running an effective scan?

Try scanning online here and see if it finds anything.
Trend Micro also has a pretty good online scanner.

what is the last date your virus definitions were updated?
