This is probably so simple as to be embarassing, but I need to do it anyway. I tried several searches with variations, and the Windows "help" file. No such luck. Thanks.

That seems to work only with addresses, not favorites/bookmarks. At least with my 4. version of IE.

Thanks anyway.

Any reason you aren't/can't use 5.5 -- or even 5? I've been using 5.5 for well over a year without any issues.

You could also try something like Bookmark Converter or another free/shareware bookmark management tool.

In Netscape, goto Bookmarks/Edit Bookmarks. In the Bookmarks windows, goto File/Save as and save the file somewhere you'll find it.

Start IE. (hehe, I opened up Import/Export for IE, went a couple steps and saw that it already pointed to my current Netscape Bookmarks file. Maybe you should try this step first. NEway, assuming this doesn't work, continue to do the following)

In IE, goto File/Import and Export. Click Next, then click Next(or select what you want), select Netscape and the profile in the first box or use the second box to point to your saved Bookmarks.html(saved from Netscape). Then select where you want the Bookmarks placed in the Favorites, click Next, click Finish. That's it.

Thanks, all. I have been resistant to "updating" software, thanks to a couple of past nightmares. Anyway, I broke down and updated to IE5.5, it went very smoothly, and imported the bookmarks. Piece of cake.

I really don't like giving it all up to microsoft, though, but more and more web content was not displaying properly on Netscape 4.72. Hhmmm, might have to try Netscape 6.01, maybe even Opera....

Even minor software wins are major victories in my book, the stuff hates me, knows I'm not a true believer. "Highly Intuitive Interface" means No Instructions and useless help files, right?
