Copy Files to New HD

I know it can be done with some commercial utilities, but I recall a while back that someone on these boards had posted a simple program that would copy all the contents of each partition to a partition on a new HD. Anybody got a link or another suggestion?
 
what OS are you doing it with?

and depending on the brand of drive, you can get a small program from the manufacturers web site that will take care of partition/format/coping
 
Thanks, but I am not installing a new HD. I have a new machine and I'd like to transfer everything from the old machine to the new HD.
 
Thanks again. But there is a simple (and free) program that does the job very well. Problem is that I downloaded it last year, and I can't find the disk since I recently moved. Anyone else?
