Copy Excel cell contents wo/ newline

Is there a preference anywhere to make it so when you have a single cell selected and copy, it doesn't include a new line? It's incredibly inconvenient to select the insides manually. (As if the rest of the Excel UI doesn't make me want to kill myself)

You mean for example you copy a cell in excel then paste it in notepad and your cursor ends up on the next line?

Only thing I can think of is

Copy cell,

go to word->edit->paste special->Plain text

Save as .txt

otherwise, I cant see any way to do it other than using a macro/vbscript.

Yeah. Mainly I was wondering if there was an option I didn't know about. I'll probably write a macro or just deal with it. Thanks.
