That link is dead, as others have mentioned. Furthermore, no it's not for real. It can't be done. You can, however, compress a DVD into a fairly high quality divx which will fit on a CD.

You heard right - again, the quality is not as good as a DVD but it's still pretty impressive for a CD and definitely watchable. We're not talking crappy low-res .mpg movies you used to get a few years ago; these can look really quite nice.

And SVCDs can look damn good if done well, for some movies if I didn't know it was a SVCD I'd assume it was a DVD(except for having to go up to the DVD player to switch a couple times in movies)
actually, you can put dvd media onto a cdr, but it will only hold about 12 mins worth of video...and very, and i mean very few dvd players can even read it
