copy drive image into Raid 0

I just bought 2xSATA drives and I was wondering if I can use norton ghost to back up the old drive and copy it into these two SATA in raid 0. This seems to be much easier than reinstalling windows, but I don't know if it's possible. Also Is it possible to create 2 small partition on each drive and run those two partitions in raid 0 but the rest just as normal drives?
Thank you in advance for any thoughts!

if you will be booting from the drives you may run into problems
since the SATA RAID driver will not be present.

yes, I tired it and it crashed!

Does anyone know how to turn my windows xp into raid without a need for a fresh install of windows?

I've used ghost to backup a raid system. Basicly if dos thinks its 1 drive (HW raid) then it seems ghost will go along with it. How about if you ghost the non raid image onto the raid them do a reinstall-fake /repair and also hit f6 to load your serial drivers into the os. Also you may want to run the mostlycreativesoftware.com reg fix for xp/2k. It makes the os very compliant when swaping hardware in the future. I have an xp image that will run on sata amd64 systems and old p3intel systems. Probably run on a P1 if i could stand the wait.
