I'm buying a new HD and would just like to copy the old HD so i don't have to reintall windows and apps, is it possable? How?

There are software that will allow you to make a mirror image of the hard drive and its data that you can recover to another hd. One that I have used is Acronis True Image, but I only used it to recover to the same hd, should work fine for what you're doing, though you may want to partition the new HD.

I've used the free version of HD Clone to move from a smaller to larger drive. (The free version won't let you move to the same size or smaller drive.) After that, you'll need some utility to expand the partition or allocate the remaining space as an addition partition (i.e., additional logical or primary drive). I have Partition Magic to expand the partition. Windows 2000 disk manager can allocate the additional space as another drive.

Norton ghost 2003 and higher would do the trick. Thats what I use anyway. I like to format my drive occasionally and reghost ever couple of months or so.
