(Coptic) Christians in Egypt

The issue I have with his comment is "their own" which I alluded to in my prior post. The mind set expressed is the same as those who think we should shoot "them" all. Hard for me to go with either sentiment.

Most of the Muslims in the M.E. aren't ready to be exposed to the trolls of the internet. In the West we've become accustomed to it, but imagine what would happen if the /b/ crowd or anonymous got their hands into the mainstream Muslim radio / video stations? All the maker of the video did was make a troll video for the lulz. Many people in that area are still stuck in the bronze age mentality where it's ok to stone people to death for letting a woman learn to read. The age of the internet is forcing a culture on them that they've been sheltered from for hundreds of years. Violence is the only way they know how to respond, since it's easier than learning to overcome the limits of religion.

I think you make a pretty good/interesting point. The internet/social media/Youtube thing bypasses such things as govt censorship and illiteracy to result in such a sudden and totally alien culture clash that shizz is bound to happen.

I've known for years that some our literature (e.g. magazines like Cosmo) blows their minds and will get you thrown in jail if you bring one along with you when visiting. They've been very successful with keeping that stuff out. Same for our movies and TV shows. But seems like they cannot keep the internet (with all that it brings) out.

Easy answer? Because the selfish coward knew others would face the brunt for it. He's safey nestled away in the U.S. hiding behind a claim of being an Israeli Jew. Another cowardly action on his behalf to again elicit a horrific response against Israel.

Egyptian Copts are treated like utter shit in Egypt on a daily basis, and are often killed by masked Muslims for the sole fact of being a Christian. If the man truely is a coptic Egyptian then its hard to blame him for hating the religion of peace, hes no more a sub-human than the Jews were under Nazi rule...Surely the Jews in the death camps hated their oppressors ?

Of course this video does give a twisted excuse for the Muslims in Egypt to harass and kill Coptic Christians even more than they already do. But is that a surprise ? This is Islam were talking about afterall, the only good non-Muslim is a dead one in those muslim dominated lands..

So why aren't Muslims staging violent protests being trolled by porn day in day out when its a million times more prevalent on the Internet and abhorrent to their religion? Not only these people are brainless, they are also hypocrites.
