Just another normal cop brutality thread.

Made the local news here in Atlanta....cop drug a prisoner through water and then tased him as punishment for backing up his toilet....him and his supervisor then covered it up.

Nice, huh? He is also alleged to have tased people for no reason at least 4 other times. What a fine outstanding cop.

Now we will see if the people here will be willing to convict them.

It's an isolated incident.
The appropriate punishment is administrative leave while they investigate and come to the conclusion that it was justified as the cop feared for his life and had no other options available.
We find time and time again that the DA is unwilling to press charges against cops who use excessive force and those who lie under oath and perjure themselves whereas a badgeless citizen would not be afforded that leniency.

you won't find many DA's willing to do that. There are stories of DA's who do go after cops being reassigned. or having the cops and union request (and getting) different DA's. So they are out of work.

They don't even have to do that. Cops just all of a sudden get the "blue flu" when it's time to testify for that particular prosecutors case or they get amnesia on the stand. That tanks their conviction rate. Their conviction rate is basically their resume for their future private sector gig, as wrong as I think that is but it just is.
