Four police officers in Fullerton, CA were suspended with pay after responding to a reported suicide attempt. They came upon the scene of an unconscious woman lying in bed. One of the cops aimed his back end at her face, said "this ought to wake her up," and farted. When that had no effect, another officer pretended to lick her. It would have been nothing more than harmless fun, except she wasn't actually unconscious. Oops.

And to think these are the same people that carry around guns and that we rely on to protect us? I could understand it if they were kids, or even teenagers, but adults?

I am sure that an ambulance was on the way or already there. What are they supposed to do? Harmless fun. But what concerns me is how all these people that ATTEMPT suicide fail. I mean, they call loved ones telling them what they are doing, they sit on bridges or buildings until someone talks to them......and on and on. ;)
And what is the dumb attemptee pretending to be unconcious for? Faking, embarassed?

Maybe she got tired of waiting for attention and fell sleep only to be awaken by footsteps nearby and then a sudden fart in the face.

Why would that matter? Should we make new laws requiring that people snap to attention whenever a police officer enters the room?
