Anyone who doesn't see this altercation as wrong has been desensitized by a violent culture and their own ignorance. The actions of these police officers was wrong (and completely unnecessary) on unfathomable levels in this civilized and free society. I would say the same thing whether the perpetrator was a LEO or the typical corner thug.

If this woman miscarried, the story would have taken an even more dramatic turn.

But yeah, police in response to a call don't have reasonable suspicion or probable cause; they were there to vet the situation to their best ability and failed miserably and escalated a very routine situation. In fact, the other officer admitted that no crime had been committed.

Also the altercation happened less than a week ago and to my knowledge there has been no settlement.
If the woman had miscarried, in a just world, the cop would be charged with murder.
