http://abc13.com/news/woman-accuses-officer-of-going-too-far-during-traffic-stop/905180/

Black woman pulled over for allegedly missing a stop sign. Cop smells marijuana, spends almost an HOUR searching her car and finds nothing.

So the cop calls a woman officer to come and do a cavity search, right there at the gas station! Guess he really smelled that marijuana right?

What is it with cops and wanting to poke and prod women's private parts in public? There have been several incidents in Texas and elsewhere where cops feel the right to probe women right at the side of the road. And those people invariably walked away with some money after winning the easy lawsuit against the appropriate police dept.

You would think they would realize that this is unacceptable behavior. Oh wait, they are cops, they feel that they are above the law and can do anything.

No no no they did find weed... 0.02 ounces. Thank god our fine upstanding officers were there to keep this raging drug mule off the road.

"I smell marijuana"

How many times has that lie been used to take away a person's rights?

Since people tolerate persecution for possession of a completely harmless herb, it is quite obvious that they will also tolerate being anally violated in public. Does this behavior frickin shock you?

"Then, according to Cammack, Corley stood up and protested, so the deputy threw her to the ground and restrained her while another female was called in to assist. When backup arrived, each deputy held one of Corley's legs apart to conduct the probe."

Wow. Just...wow.

Wtf is wrong with these cops? I'd like to think a female LEO would immediately have a problem going along with this, but no, let's forcefully inspect her bits in pieces in full view of the public.

I hope she sues the ever living shit out of them all and wins handily.

If that's true, it sounds like rape to me. Police officers aren't gynecologists and even thinking this is a proper course of action speaks volumes to how fucked up the mentality of your average officer is.

That multiple female officers would go along with this, even forcing the spreading of her, shows the gang mentality of officers and just how they view there place in society vs. Citizens.

I'm really starting to think it will take a violence uprising or serious act of retribution for serious discussion of reform to happen.

I think Obama is really missing the boat for not making this problem a top domestic policy. Police have killed over 1000 citizens the past 12 months. Compare that with the deaths caused by terrorism and the importance and money on each.

What the fuck is wrong with a female cop that would do that to another woman in a parking lot? She also should loose her job, after a cavity search on the steps of the police department.

At taxpayer expense of course. Officers should have to carry malpractice insurance for shit like this and when continuous fuckups make their premiums so high or no carrier will insure them then too bad.

See pipelines reply above, that is what I meant, thought malpractice implied personal insurance. Sorry if it wasn't clear but pipeline got it.

The main thing is officers would have some accountability and fear of losing their jobs if they couldn't afford or receive insurance.

Felony sexual assault. Every one of these cops needs to be in prison for the safety of society.

Wouldn't it be funny if we legalized pot nationally and cops couldn't do the whole "I smell Marijuana" tag line?

Yeah, if anything they should have a bonus part of the comp structure that gets pulled when they fvkc up. This way there would be some monetary incentive for them to not fk around.

Look, if you charge the government with taking care of everyone, this is the side effect. They'll take REAL good care of you. And don't forget that it is just for your own good. The majority knows what is best for you, and they will keep you clean.

Yep. Did you notice that they need no cause at all for cavity searches at airports, because "PUBLIC SAFETY!!!!!!".

And every single time one of the true idiots of this world get scared, they support things like the patriot act, et. al. Because "TERRORISM!"

Safe folks who act as enablers for our government to set up checkpoints because "ALCOHOL!", and "SEATBELTS!" and "GUNS!" and... and... and...

Am I being detained? Am I free to go? Am I suspected of a crime? I do not give you any authorization to search myself, my passengers, or my vehicle. Am I being detained? Am I free to go? Am I suspected of a crime?

Rinse. Repeat. Sue.

Don't worry, he knew what you meant. He was attempting to deflect you into thinking that a group insurance policy is sufficient. Why? Because a group policy will never punish the individual asshole cop. His intent is to protect the individual asshole cop from consequences of their asshole behavior.

I ask you this: why would someone want to protect a walking, talking abuse of authority if they were not one of these assholes themselves? I can't think of a reason either.
