Nope, the jackbooted thugs don't get ANY special protection nor are they above the law. They just have an uberly dangerous job, albeit much less dangerous than the guys that put your roof on, but its still kinda dangerous from the emotional stress they have to deal with after killing innocent people right? It's a good thing there isn't a conflict of interest when a cop does some illegal shit, not like they work hand in hand with the people that would bring charges against them or anything....
