A Bronx teen said two cops roughed him up when he mouthed off after one of them stepped in a pile of dog doo.
Officers Joseph Murphy , 26, and Jose Ocasio , 28, were charged Monday with assault, accused of beating up Tyre Davis ,17, outside a police stationhouse Feb. 18. Davis, a senior at Brandeis High School in
Manhattan, told the Daily News on
Tuesday he was walking with a friend near
E. 181st St. and Creston Ave. in Fordham
Heights when the feces hit the fan .
"It smells like doo- doo," he remembers
saying and then immediately regretting
when he saw a uniformed cop scraping his
shoe clean.
"I was like, 'Oh, man - why did I say
that?'"Davis said.
At that point, he said other officers in an
unmarked van nearby scolded him for
making a joke , then handcuffed him and
took him to the 46th Precinct.
He said Murphy and Ocasio followed him
when he was released after getting a
disorderly conduct summons and led him
into an alley. One punched him in the right
ear, the other in the forehead, he said.
Davis said he fell and hit his head on a
brick wall during the 30-second attack. "I
thought I was going to die," he said.
He contacted Internal Affairs, which
investigated his claim and arrested the officers. The officers expect to be vindicated, their
lawyer said after the arrest.

heh. the NYTimes labels him as a heckler and cops charge him for disorderly conduct. note to self: keep hidden cameras on self in case cops decide to beat me for doodoo comments

It's sad how cops in the states can do this crap. Here they only use force if the perp is actually a threat. This crap seems to happen a lot.

Sounds like there's more to this story then what the kid is saying.

Yea, sounds a little hard to believe considering the kids out at 3:17 AM... because he was getting beat by cops. I'm thinking he was coming home obscenely late and needed something to tell his mom.

Why does everyone assume the kid is telling the truth? It could be bullshit. If the cops' lawyers say they'll be vindicated, I want to see what kind of proof they have.

He's obviously a terrorist and deserved that beatdown. Only terrorists make poop jokes.

And the liberal media is slanting this to make it look like he was innocent and the cops were at fault. These officers work hard to protect us, and all he does is insult them. I think he should get charged with assault on a police officer for those words.

Even if the kid was laughing hysterically, it doesn't deserve a beat down.
But this is one of those life lessons he has now learned: Don't mess with cops.

What do you expect the cops lawyer to say? That they will be convicted? That is a standard line for any lawyer defending his client, to say otherwise he would not be doing his job.

because sadly in this day a random 17 y/o kid is more believable then a LEO

Obviously more to the story. What teenager would call it doo doo? lol sure
lol
I think we can imagine what really happened.

1. Cop steps in crap.
2. Group of teenagers yell "Ah man! HAHAHA! You just stepped in dog shit! HAHAHA!
3. Cop says STFU.
4. Teen say "Fuck you! I can say what I want!"
5. Cop tries to detain teen for being a public nuisance.
6. Teen resists arrest and gets beat up.

Cops always have a reason to detain you and can always escalate the issue by you resisting arrest.

No, not really. Here on ATOT people do this knee jerk reaction when it comes to cops, "OMG, its a cop, he must be lying!". Sure there are bad cops out there but the vast majority are honest. While there's a chance that the kid is telling the truth I think its far more likely that he's inventing a story to get the charges thrown out and maybe even do a lawsuit to make a fast buck.

The same lawyer also represented the thug cop who viciously attacked a cyclist and then falsified an arrest report, claiming that the cyclist intentionally ran into him. Read the ridiculous victim-blaming bullshit he spewed in that case.

If this were just a case of the victim's word versus the alleged dirty cops', they would not have been arrested. In fact, they were charged after an internal affairs investigation validated the victim's claim. Doesn't mean that they're guilty, but it gives a lot more weight to the complaint.
