copper spacer for the thunderbird

I have seen copper spacers for the thunderbird. Anyone know how well they work ? does anyone know if they make them for the duron and if so will it work with the a7v probe and where to buy them ?
 
They prevent you from braking the cpu so easily. I think they also transfer heat away a little better, but I don't think that is proven. Check 3dcool.
